Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Adriele Correa (“I”, “me”) handles information when you visit adrielecorrea.me (the “site”). I keep things deliberately minimal: this is a small site for one-to-one English mentorship, with no visitor accounts and no payments taken on the site.

Information I collect

• Newsletter sign-ups. If you enter your name and email in the newsletter form, I store them to send you the newsletter and occasional related updates. Sign-up uses double opt-in (you confirm by email before anything is sent), and every email includes an unsubscribe link. The list runs on my own self-hosted mailing tool; delivery uses a standard email provider.
• Analytics. Where analytics are used, they are privacy-first and cookieless — recording only aggregate, non-identifying signals (page views, referrers, approximate country, browser and device type). No advertising cookies are set, your device is not fingerprinted, and no profile of you is built.
• What you choose to send. If you reach out — for example through the Instagram link on this site — I receive whatever you share (such as your name and message) so I can reply.
• Testimonials. Some of my mentorship students choose to share a short testimonial. When they do, I only publish their first name (or initials), a brief descriptor (such as age and profession), their words, and — optionally — a photo, and only after they have explicitly agreed to it. If you gave a testimonial and want it changed or taken down, message me and I’ll remove it.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and the newsletter form does not set tracking cookies. Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site, may set a strictly-necessary cookie to mitigate malicious traffic; it is not used to identify or track you. The site administration area sets a session cookie, but only for me, as the site owner, when I sign in.

How I use information

To operate and improve the site, to send the newsletter to people who asked for it, to show testimonials from students who agreed to share one, and to respond to messages you send me. I do not sell, rent or trade your information.

Third parties

The site is hosted on and protected by Cloudflare. Newsletter emails are delivered through an email service provider on my behalf. Links to external services — such as Instagram — are governed by those services’ own privacy policies, not this one.

Data retention

Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them. Anything you send me directly is kept only as long as needed to help you, then deleted. Aggregate analytics are retained by the analytics provider according to their policy. Published testimonials are kept until the student asks me to remove theirs.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, data-protection laws such as the GDPR (EU/EEA/UK) and the LGPD (Brazil) give you rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for its processing. To exercise any of these, contact me below.

Children

This site is intended for adult professionals and is not directed to children under 16.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS through a reputable provider. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but I take reasonable measures to protect it.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, the “last updated” date above will change.
